Join Di at Wild Harvest School of Self-Reliance to learn how to manage your plot more sustainably.  By thoroughly observing and then modelling natures own methods it is possible to work more in harmony with your landscape and increase the chances of success with any design changes you make to your garden.

The Permaculture - Growing Sustainably Course at Wild Harvest is a one day course that covers:

  • What IS Permaculture?
  • The ethics and principles of permaculture
  • How to observe land and make the right notes!
  • Creating a base map of your plot
  • Overlaying a permaculture design that takes into account the natural factors at play already to ensure greater output for less effort.
  • How to balance inputs with desired yields to ensure your gardening practice is sustainable over time

Learn to model Mother Natures own methods of gardening to ensure greater success, naturally.   Discover how to create closed loop systems, and make a base plan of your own plot followed by a process for adding a permaculture design to your land. This is a full day very comprehensive course, that will leave your mind blown.

Reviews

"Went on a permaculture course at the weekend - Di’s such a knowledgeable teacher, she’s the kind of person you’d like to mind-meld with… If you’re interested in sustainability I can only recommend Wild Harvest School of Self-Reliance"

"Had a lovely day learning about Permaculture .... from a smooth transaction to purchase and good instructions of how to find the location, to a warm-friendly welcome that greeted us; first impressions were already great. No matter what your level of knowledge, Di delivers engaging information in a way that captures your mind and leaves you wanting to get home and start creating your own haven of self-reliance. With a lovely cosy cabin to sit and learn, amongst a view where the practical element of Permaculture is becoming evident on the farm; it is a brilliant experience. We are looking forward to booking Foraging next"

"Thank you for yesterday, the day was a really interesting and I am hoping to change a few things in our garden if I can convince my husband. I think the first thing we will do is make a wild area. I will keep checking your site for other events. "

  • Long Established

We have stood the test of time. Established in 2006 we are nearly 20 years old! We have survived pandemics and recessions and are still here. Read our reviews as testimony to how hard we work to keep you happy! Others have come and gone but we are still strong through our professionalism, quality of service for the price, and resilience.

  • Support Female-Led Independent Small Business.

Wild Harvest was set up by a single mum of three... slowly building a business around her children, without any help. No grants, no Daddy's purse strings - just hard work and dedication and determination to provide affordable sustainable education.

  • Reliable - Book Us and We WILL Be There!

Over all our time we have not cancelled a single session. If we commit to being there we will be there. I cringe when I see other teaching businesses cancel for personal reasons regularly letting people down and I truly believe in honouring your booking with my effort to get us there.

  • Quality of Service Combined with Value For Money

Here you will find qualified thorough tutors, and natural, local materials yet we remain more affordable than our competitors due to our mission to provide sustainable education to ALL. This affordable quality in offering services that Don't Cost the Earth is what has kept us going for two decades!
