Join Di on one of her favourite local walks - the Givendale Circular in East Yorkshire at the foothills of the Wolds.  A walk that encompasses gentle hills and pretty countryside in a month that shows Summer in her finest (July) PLUS plenty to forage thrown-in!

This walk is different from my usual wild food walks which are more like gentle meanders.  This walk is for walkers who like to hike-hike; like 'proper-walk', with a bit of speed about their boots... BUT who also who wanted to find time to learn more about the natural world around them as they walk.

Now you can do BOTH!

Is this YOU?

  • Love to walk? (tick?)
  • Want to learn more about Nature? (tick?)
  • Happy to walk faster than a slow pace? (tick?)
  • Always fancied nibbling the hedgerows but didn't know where to start? (tick?)

Details about meeting point will follow but it will likely be somewhere around Pocklington for easy parking, so we don't congest a village or rural road.

More about Di Hammill Page HERE

The aim is to have 3 hours together: walking interspersed with sitting spots for learning about 10 plants in great detail (and eating your sandwiches) as we go.

If this is popular I will add other themed Hikes such as Natural Navigation Hike, Map and Compass learning hike, and maybe even an archery hike if I can find a friendly landowner on route!  Join me in getting out walking more this year?

Can I Bring My Dog?

To the wild food walks yes, well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. To the tipi site... Sorry we love animals but we. have a free range sheep, hens and an old labrador. We have stood the test of time. Established in 2006 we are nearly 20 years old! We have survived pandemics and recessions and are still here. Read our reviews as testimony to how hard we work to keep you happy! Others have come and gone but we are still strong through our professionalism, quality of service for the price, and resilience.

  • Support Female-Led Independent Small Business.

Wild Harvest was set up by a single mum of three... slowly building a business around her children, without any help. No grants, no Daddy's purse strings - just hard work and dedication and determination to provide affordable sustainable education.

  • Reliable - Book Us and We WILL Be There!

Over all our time we have not cancelled a single session. If we commit to being there we will be there. I cringe when I see other teaching businesses cancel for personal reasons regularly letting people down and I truly believe in honouring your booking with my effort to get us there.

Here you will find qualified thorough tutors, and natural, local materials yet we remain more affordable than our competitors due to our mission to provide sustainable education to ALL.
