Come to Wild Harvest School and learn all about creating your own light.
During the dark February months there is nothing nicer nor more empowering than creating your own light by learning how to make candles.
We have chosen that special time at Candlemass/Imbolc to hold this wonderful cosy candle making workshop, where we can look forward to the coming Spring. In 2025 we are lucky as it falls exactly on a Sunday!
In this short day course Di will explain all about the components of a candle and how you can replicate these using various weird and wonderful alternatives that you can find around the home and in Nature. Having lived off-grid for three years Di spent a long time learning 'what burns well' to create light!
You will get to have a play with some of these different wick and fuel material combinations in addition to making a variety of candle types of the 'normal' variety.
Thanks to a donation of candle wax by a lovely follower Charlee; each guest will make a few different colours and sizes of candles in some pretty and original containers - this is the perfect way to use up all those little pots or old glass candle holders and jars you have been saving!
Each guest will also get their own 1kg bag of wax and a length of wick to take home so that they can continue their candle making experimentation into the future.

Help Us Help Others...
For every guest booking on this course a donation will be made to our Social Responsibility Policy in lieu of the donated wax. Each year we offer free activities to a different charity. (Last year it was a charity for visually impaired young people, the year before we ran an activity for local Brownie groups and several years ago we did a big refugee mission to Europe. For 2025 we are looking to work with Smile a local charity that consolidates the efforts of local businesses for greater local charitable action).

We have stood the test of time. Established in 2006 we are nearly 20 years old! We have survived pandemics and recessions and are still here. Read our reviews as testimony to how hard we work to keep you happy! Others have come and gone but we are still strong through our professionalism, quality of service for the price, and resilience.

Support Female-Led Independent Small Business.
Wild Harvest was set up by a single mum of three... slowly building a business around her children, without any help. No grants, no Daddy's purse strings - just hard work and dedication and determination to provide affordable sustainable education.
-
Reliable - Book Us and We WILL Be There!
Over all our time we have not cancelled a single session. If we commit to being there we will be there. I cringe when I see other teaching businesses cancel for personal reasons regularly letting people down and I truly believe in honouring your booking with my effort to get us there.
