We are surrounded by the flat farmland that characterises East Riding of Yorkshire, there are barn owls and bats to see on the evening and the odd buzzard or deer. We are a 10 – 15 min drive from York and our nearest town is Pocklington, an attractive market town with all facilities, just 7 miles away and cycle-able but two local pubs are within a couple of miles The Boot and Shoe Inn at Ellerton and The Melbourne Arms at Melbourne – Wild Harvest groups are very welcome there.
There is no public transport near us. The nearest stops are Pocklington (bus, 7 miles from us) and York (train, 12 miles) or Howden (train, 8 miles). We recommend a car. We do have a bike shed please let us know in advance if you wish to use it.
