T's & C's for Glamping Stays at Wild Harvest
Wild Harvest Tipi Site Rules and Info Followed by T's and C's
When you book a stay here, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions at the point of booking.
To keep our small but cute tipi site running cleanly, safely and smoothly we ask the following:
PARKING - Please park inside the gate (we get told off for roadside parking), once inside please park sensibly trying not to block gates or access or egress of residents vehicles, it is a tight squeeze at the moment due to development so please do bring as few cars as possible, thanks x
GLITTER AND BALLOONS - Our poultry and wild life eat popped balloons, while glitter stays in the soil for years. No Glitter at all please and only use balloons to decorate inside spaces only. You can however add bunting and photo strings, signage etc...
MUSIC. - No Loud Stereo Music on the Tipi Site please as the sound carries across the countryside to working farmers. Mobile phone music IS ok with a mobile phone speaker, (not a boom box please) up to midnight. Some groups order silent discos to be delivered here.
NO EATING/DRINKING INSIDE TIPIS/ACCOMMODATION - In order to keep the tipis feeling clean for you, we have a no food rule. We learned the hard way, scraping pizza off sofa beds, and trying to get hot chocolate out of carpets. You can eat around the fire circle, inside the cosy hut, or on the picnic benches. Just please not where people sleep, we know you would appreciate this too.
DRINKING WATER - the water on the tipi site is the same water that we drink in the farmhouse so is fine to drink.
FIRE SAFETY - Only use kindling, logs and fire-lighters provided, do not throw musical birthday cards or anything with small batterie, nor empty aerosols into the fire, do not sit on the edge of the fire or stand on the bricks of the fire. Fire extinguishers are available in the garden, in the cosy hut and in the outside loo. The fire meeting place is in the car park.
LOGS - we provide a starter set of logs, fire-lighters and kindling. If used carefully this can last the weekend, if you need more the price is £3 a bag for life size on a help yourself basis.
SMOKING is permitted outside buildings - not in the loo, sleeping, or teaching areas. Please dispose of butts in the fire pit not in the bins or compost heaps.
RECYCLING and waste - Blue bins are for recycling, green is for normal rubbish. There are two bins on site, near the outdoor kitchenette, use for one bottles/recyclables and one for normal rubbish please. . There should be bin bags in the cosy hut, if you need more please knock at back door. If these start to overspill, its best to move the rubbish to the commercial bins at the farm gate.
NEED ANYTHING? - Please knock at the back door and we will see if we have it, or can sort it :) or text 07561862507
FIRE COOKING - We encourage you to cook over the fire and use the pizza ovens as it's all part of the experience, if you need any advice with this please ask.
NEW - COVID protocol. We have in place new measures to ensure the safety of our customers and staff against covid. These are an extensive new covid specific cleaning protocol, a covid specific risk assessment added on to our usual venue risk assessment. These are available separately they will either be sent to you or you can see them at anytime by request.
ACTIVITIES - Two activities are compulsory for weekend group glamping bookings. This is because we are sustainable education and as such got our planning permission to operate glamping based on this offering. You can see from our recommended providers page that you are free to bring other providers in too, as long as your two wild harvest activities have been booked. We reserve the right to cancel bookings that do not go on to book their two activities. We keep our glamping competitively priced to allow this, and it is how we can do so. Our activities are priced (currently at £17-£29 per head, so also are kept affordable in the market of group activities provision) so please don't ask us to bend rules for you. We have also found over the years this filters out the purely party groups who just want to use our cute venues for a noisy messy rave up. So, do bare with us and keep sustainable education alive by supporting us in this.

Check-in & Check-out
Guests must check-in and check-out by the times stated below;
- Check-in from: 14:00pm and before 21:00pm on day of arrival
- Check-out by: 11am on day of departure (may possibly be extended by arrangement if activities are taken that necessitate the extra time)
Cancellation & Non-Arrival Conditions
Guest who need to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible. We can offer these options.
- You can sell your booking on if you know anyone who wished to take it instead, you can transfer ownership, just give us their name and email and we will do the rest. This will be less any payment processing fees.
- A transfer to another date may be offered in limited circumstances. If you are transferring from a lower season to a higher season a rate adjustment will be made. We are sorry but we can't adjust in the reverse as this is a good will gesture as your original booking slot may now remain empty for us.
- We cannot refund for partial group turn ups in other words where a few individuals or a single individuals from your group can't make it, they are not entitled to a refund from us. You are hiring the whole site so even though you may have worked out a per person price for each member of your group, this doesn't really affect us as the lead booker has hired the whole site for up to and including the maximum number of guests we can hold within your booking rate/Wild Harvest site.
Guest No: the site is your so although we say it is made for 14 if you choose to add a few more on please remember this is up to you, we charge just a nominal fee to cover their resource use, not use of the site. Extras over 14 do not get bedding or towels. See options to add a tipi. Otherwise they can squeeze in with you or bring a tent.
Non-arrival groups, who are unable to attend or fail to attend for whatever reason forfeit their deposit paid. It is suggested that booking guests take out appropriate holiday / cancellation insurance where required.
In the rare event we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made. In 18 years we have never cancelled anyone so be reassured.
Returned Deposit
Your deposit is taken upfront and held in a bonded account, until you leave and will be returned in full, by bacs or card, unless:
- you have left tipis unzipped correctly and allowed them to get flooded.
- you have made excess noise over and above our fair use policy of single mobile phone powered single speaker up to midnight at Boundary Farm, and 11.30pm at Hawthorne Farm. If our neighbours complain to us, that is our notice to keep the bond as our relationship with them is important in order to keep operating our business.
- you have left vomit, urine or other bodily fluids anywhere, or food waste inside the tipis (eating in tipis is not allowed to keep them feeling clean, there are many other places to eat).
- you have left rubbish to blow around the farm instead of bagging it up
- you have ignored the balloons and glitter outside rule and we have to forage hedges to pick out popped rubber.

While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belonging before checking-out. We had to stop posting items out, as folk were expecting us to drive a 15 mile round trip to park, walk queue at the post office to return often what amounted to a £2 item. We advise you arrange collection of any item you want back etiher by courier or more local friend.
Pets
We do not accept pets throughout the accommodation, sorry, we love animals but can't accept them in the units for various reasons.
